Ann Fry of Cogan Station, left, and her daughter Lora Powell of Hughesville relax in the cool of the evening after a hot day at the fair. Fry says she still sleeps with the cows at the fair while many farmers with livestock retreat to their air conditioned campers at night. Despite the hard work and upkeep of the animals during the fair, many view the week as a vacation.
